Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong engineering track record focused on front-end development and technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS/HTML and modern frameworks and approaches. They should have experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, and Ember, along with a good understanding of accessibility (a11y) best practices, tools, and techniques, including compatibility with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG guidelines. Experience with internationalization (i18n) and Cloud Technologies, as well as end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products, is also required. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats are essential, alongside comfort providing presentations and recommendations to stakeholder management, advocating for UX consistency, accessibility, and empathy for the end user. Experience mentoring and supporting people and teams with empathy and professionalism, as well as experience working with Product Managers and UX Designers for requirement analysis and driving the engineering team to come up with solution approach and design for delivering the requirements, is needed.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, the individual will lead the Content Team, which builds and maintains systems for delivering content to the console product, primarily focusing on product documentation and localized content. They will liaise with internal stakeholders, mainly technical writers, and engage with end-user customers for research and feedback purposes. The role involves managing team workload, project resourcing, and coordination in a fast-paced, distributed environment, supporting the wellbeing of team members by providing guidance and support, gathering feedback, providing coaching, and advancing team member skill sets. They will also build a team by leading and coordinating the recruitment process, maintaining visibility into the product roadmap, participating in team activities, and fostering an open and collaborative environment. Finally, they will be responsible for planning, tracking, delivering, and managing multiple projects.
