Role Overview

We are seeking a remotely based Senior Front-End Engineer located in the San Francisco area to join our small but mighty USA based engineering team! With headquarters in Sydney, Australia, CORTO is expanding its global footprint and continues to build front-end engineering capability in the United States. This role requires some flexibility in working hours to overlap it’s distributed Australian team; however, it does report to a locally based Head of Engineering.

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our AI-driven legal tech solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces using TypeScript and Angular, ensuring a seamless user experience. This role requires advanced Angular, HTML and CSS expertise, including knowledge of Flexbox and CSS Grid for responsive layouts. You should also have experience building Web Components to create reusable UI elements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, AI engineers, and a product manager, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using TypeScript and Angular.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Implement best practices for front-end development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex front-end issues to enhance user experience.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize front-end performance for fast, responsive applications.
  • Mentor junior front-end engineers and promote technical best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on TypeScript and modern JavaScript web frameworks (Angular, React, View, Svelte, etc).
  • Experience with Angular Signals and NgRx.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proven experience building responsive web applications that work seamlessly on multiple browsers and devices.
  • Proven experience building Web Components and developing reusable UI elements.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the legal tech industry.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
