Planning: Tactical, Strategic - Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan
Technical Excellence - Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges

Responsibilities

Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders
Driving machining technology innovation and quality improvements to provide process and technology leadership
Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals aligned to strategic planning. These activities will include budgeting, forecasting, and governance for manufacturing projects
Collaborating across global teams, vendors, and academic partners
Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization
