Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience building distributed serving systems
  • Deep knowledge of StarRocks on Iceberg, ClickHouse, or equivalent OLAP/serving technologies
  • Strong background in query engines, caching, materialized views, real-time ingestion (CDC/streaming), and hybrid batch + real-time serving architectures
  • Skilled in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and pre-aggregation strategies at scale
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and solid understanding of database internals and query planning
  • Experience with Kubernetes, observability stacks, CI/CD, and reliability engineering practices
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to partner effectively with data science, product, and platform teams
  • AI-native mindset and ability to leverage modern AI/ML tools and workflows to accelerate engineering productivity, data processing, and problem solving
  • Strong leadership and production ownership experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a high-performing team of engineers
  • Balance technical execution with career development and mentorship
  • Own the roadmap for serving infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and operate systems that provide low-latency, high-throughput access to petabyte-scale blockchain datasets
  • Architect next-gen serving infra using StarRocks on Iceberg, ClickHouse, and related technologies
  • Ensure performance and reliability of serving systems
  • Establish and enforce SLAs for query latency and uptime
  • Work closely with pipeline teams to define contracts, schemas, and freshness guarantees
  • Lead incident response and post-mortems for serving infra issues
  • Shape the long-term roadmap for serving systems, balancing cost, performance, scalability, and developer experience
