  • Technical leadership expertise in Kubernetes, CNCF ecosystem tooling, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Hands-on coding experience (~30% of time), with proficiency in Go, Python, Node, Javascript, etc
  • Experience driving AI/LLM transformation in developer experience (e.g., automating onboarding, AI Ops for auto-healing, simplifying workflows)
  • Strong people management skills, including conducting 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, growth plans, promotions, and compensation recommendations
  • Ability to foster culture of business impact, ownership, accountability, and customer-centricity
  • Skills in driving alignment among experienced engineers, facilitating debate, making trade-offs, and ensuring cohesive solutions
  • Experience ensuring high code quality, reviewing code, providing feedback, and spotting quality trends

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Infra Platform team of engineers
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance with credible insights
  • Spend ~30% of time on hands-on code contributions
  • Drive AI transformation in developer experience (e.g., onboarding automation, AI Ops, workflow abstractions)
  • Own people management: regular 1:1s, coaching, engagement, performance reviews, accountability, promotions, compensation recommendations, recognition, and support
  • Drive team alignment, facilitate healthy debate, make trade-offs, and ensure cohesive solutions
  • Ensure high code quality and engineering standards through reviews and feedback
  • Partner cross-functionally with Security Engineering, FinOps, and Product Engineering teams
  • Contribute to strategic direction of the platform organization
