Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer
ClickhouseFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates must have experience building high-scale systems and sophisticated application services, with proficiency in Go or C++, Java, C#, or Rust. Experience operating Kubernetes clusters and building/operating distributed systems at scale on cloud providers like GCP and AWS is essential. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting, thorough Linux experience, and a passion for mentoring junior engineers are also required. The ability to own projects from inception to delivery, including planning, requirement gathering, and collaboration with Product teams, is necessary.
The Infrastructure Engineer will work on solving complex distributed systems problems at scale and ensure platform components are optimized. Responsibilities include making infrastructure and architecture scale to meet platform needs, using Go to build highly scalable and reliable distributed systems, and building on top of the architecture stack using Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS. The role involves operating large-scale distributed systems globally and developing internal tools and platforms to improve developer productivity.
Cloud-native infrastructure and application monitoring
Chronosphere offers a platform that helps businesses monitor their cloud-native infrastructure and applications by quickly identifying and resolving issues before they affect customers. The platform filters out unnecessary data, allowing users to focus on critical information, which is especially useful for companies still using outdated monitoring tools. Unlike its competitors, Chronosphere emphasizes reducing observability costs, which can be a major expense for engineering teams, and helps decrease on-call alerts by up to 90%. The company's goal is to improve business efficiency and productivity while providing a strong return on investment.
