Requirements

Proven experience managing engineering teams, preferably in a remote environment, is required. A strong background in AWS, Terraform, and cloud architecture best practices is necessary. Experience with cloud networking, cost and capacity planning, cloud spend optimization, usage forecasting, and integrating/managing Vercel or similar platforms is needed. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of engineers and SREs, fostering a high-performance culture. Oversee AWS account management, Terraform-based infrastructure architecture and deployments, cloud architecture design, and networking design/infrastructure. Implement and maintain cost and capacity management strategies. Partner with product teams to integrate infrastructure with Vercel deployments and other platform services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure priorities with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement in engineering and operational practices, including deployment automation, monitoring, incident response, and security compliance. Ensure robust incident management, on-call readiness, and system reliability for all cloud-hosted services.
