Candidates must be based in Brazil with upper-intermediate English language skills. Required qualifications include 3+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams, a solid understanding of agile methodologies, hands-on experience with Java or Golang, proficiency with relational databases, and familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and SRE/DevOps concepts are essential. Previous experience building large-scale, high-throughput systems is also required. Desirable qualifications include experience in the card issuing industry and knowledge of ISO 8583 and authorization systems.

They will conduct risk assessments, provide technical guidance, ensure adherence to development best practices (code quality, PR reviews, test coverage, performance, resilience, security), and manage the on-call team for high-quality incident handling. The role involves making assertive decisions under pressure, working with international teams and clients, and monitoring team services and new features in production to meet or exceed SLOs/SLAs.
