Requirements

Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in an engineering management or senior technical leadership role. A working knowledge of database internals and experience with C/C++ is required. Demonstrable experience leading software development teams delivering database systems or similar products is essential, along with excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. A proven ability to translate technical details into strategic business outcomes is also necessary. Experience with TimescaleDB and knowledge of PostgreSQL and the extensions ecosystem are nice to have.

Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager, you will manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. You will oversee ongoing projects and the status of upcoming releases of TimescaleDB, collaborating with product management to define product roadmaps and priorities. Additionally, you will liaise with stakeholders across the organization to connect business goals with the teams’ goals, participate in interviewing engineers, and represent the team within the company and in customer calls.
