Requirements

  • Experience working with Java, Spring framework, asynchronous message queues and microservices architecture – this is essential
  • Experience leading, coaching and mentoring high performing teams, building development plans and setting personal goals for engineers in your teams
  • Comfortable working on big challenges and taking full ownership of the customer journey
  • Experience building and designing scalable and performing systems
  • Comfortable with SQL databases, optimisation and transaction
  • A passion for international finance, foreign exchange and payment systems

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality of your team’s technical solutions, including code quality, architecture applicability, performance, reliability and adherence to company-wide engineering standards
  • Responsible for your team's productivity, goal setting, career path identification, mentoring and supporting people in your team
  • Lead the Screening Handling team building solutions to prevent usage by sanctioned individuals and organisations and mitigate risks with politically exposed customers
  • Build a high throughput screening engine to check transaction information against lists of millions of sanctioned or politically exposed individuals and organisations
  • Own, improve and maintain name matching and text normalisation algorithms to reduce false positive alerts
  • Scale operations by improving alert review tools and automation while maintaining strong process auditability and regulatory compliance
  • Build a customer-facing UI for more convenient collection of information and documents
