Requirements

9+ years of experience in a software engineering capacity
2+ years of engineering leadership experience — including leading teams and developing individuals in their career
Extensive experience in full-stack web development, including proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and the MEAN Stack
In-depth knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML5, CSS3 (including server-side CSS preprocessors), and responsive UI implementation
Comfortable having difficult conversations and always have your clients’ and teammates’ best interests in mind
Experience presenting complex ideas to clients and team members in a compelling and energetic way
Empathetic leader that can help find solutions if problems arise with a client
Desire to contribute sound recommendations and influence product decisions
Excited to work with a diverse team made up of various backgrounds and skill sets
Led the delivery of large and complex software projects from beginning to end in a team-based environment
Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Understanding of software engineering and established best practices

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable full-stack applications using cutting-edge technologies
Lead the design and implementation of software solutions, adhering to best practices and coding standards
Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Ensure the quality and reliability of the software through effective testing methodologies, including unit testing and automated testing platforms
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement and implement them as needed
Contribute to the growth of the engineering team by actively participating in the hiring process, conducting interviews, and providing valuable input
Embody a growth mindset and apply it in your leadership style
Mentor others to help grow their technical and interpersonal skills
