Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience related to embedded control systems, calibrations and testing (e.g., C programming, software/hardware debugging tools, CAN/LIN/ethernet network protocols, Jira, Git ecosystem)
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional calibration or test teams through all phases of software development, from concept to deployment, in an Agile environment
  • Strong ability to drive results through collaboration, manage multiple projects with varying priorities, and measure work using data and key performance indicators
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills; able to align multiple teams toward a common goal
  • Proven track record of successful project execution and delivery
  • A technical leader with a strong background in embedded software and vehicle systems with special emphasis on Testing at Unit, Integration, System and Feature level
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and change in a fast-paced business & software development environment
  • Passionate about mentoring and growing engineers while pushing the technical boundaries of what's possible
  • Forward-thinking and excited about the role technology plays in redefining the future of mobility

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and vision in the Body Controls domains of vehicle communication infrastructure, driving engineering excellence and adherence to best practices
  • Develop and execute forward-looking calibration and test strategies aligned with customer needs and GM’s transformation into a tech-driven mobility company
  • Demonstrate strategic insight into emerging vehicle architecture, helping shape long-term vision and innovation through test automation
  • Leverage Agile methodologies to accelerate innovation, enhance team velocity, and deliver high-quality calibration on time at scale
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team focused on capability growth, technical development, and talent retention
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams and collaborate in functional testing, performance tracking, and alignment with program milestones and quality standards
  • Engage in test architecture and strategy, critically evaluate existing approaches, and provide architectural guidance as needed
  • Model and champion GM's values and behaviors in everything you do
  • Lead a team of talented engineers in delivering calibrations for multiple GM vehicle programs and owning the end-to-end quality and testing of the body controls vehicle communication infrastructure space
