Requirements

BS degree with 8+ years of experience in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., physics or mathematics)
Coding experience (e.g., physics or mathematics)
Experience with SW Design, Algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Perl

Responsibilities

Maintain server infrastructure and services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
Scale systems sustainably through automation
Evolve systems to improve reliability and velocity
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve production issues for customers
Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
Independently architect and design solutions using efficient algorithms and a standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process (requirements gathering, SW design, testing, deployment, & release)
Support large-scale server infrastructure with monitoring, logging, and alerting, ensuring promised uptime
Engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of services – from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement
Support services before they go live through system design consulting, software platform and framework development, capacity management, and launch reviews
