Position Overview

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to world-class projects and make a significant impact within Thermo Fisher Scientific. As an Engineer III, Software, you will be responsible for requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and unit testing of software, leading team members and working independently on software development projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Sciences.
  • 5 - 10 years of software development experience in the software industry.
  • Experience involving hardware and software interactions is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of common data structures, design patterns, object-oriented design, and algorithms used in programming.
  • Solid background in core Java, modular/reusable design, and knowledge about software composition.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, code quality metrics, and SDLC.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage high-priority tasks and adapt to changes in priorities.
  • Strong communication and illustration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and unit testing of software.
  • Leading team members to complete software development projects.
  • Working independently in a multi-functional distributed team to craft software based on specifications and development standards.
  • Understanding business needs, analyzing workflows, and carrying out integrations across different sub-system components.
  • Developing web applications (preferred).
