Requirements

Candidates must have 6+ years of server-side web development experience, a strong problem-solving mentality, and knowledge of full-cycle web development systems, networks, software design, and operations. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with experience with server-side systems handling high-volume datasets and web system architectures requiring security, performance, scalability, and maintainability. Experience validating high-quality, consumer-facing applications and critical datasets is also required. Preferred skills include experience with Python, Go, Java (Spring/Hibernate), Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS SQS, S3, Elasticsearch, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

The Software Development Engineer 3 will design and develop web applications and services with high volatility and performance in a microservices architecture. They will collaborate with R&D, QA, Front-End, and SRE teams, including participation in integration testing. Responsibilities include gaining a deep understanding of legacy code and architecture to design and implement new features, creating, maintaining, and taking full ownership of applications and their code, and learning new languages and frameworks quickly. The engineer will apply knowledge of full-cycle web development, software design, networking, and operations to adapt to new technologies and validate critical datasets and consumer-facing applications for accuracy and quality.
