Requirements

  • Degree required in an accredited Engineering field
  • Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities
  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan
  • Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead the machine configuration and installation design work
  • Lead the UGC file development with top levels, compatibility for NPI programs, and maintain the UGC file to support production design update and pricelist update
  • Build machine top level skeleton and coordinate system designer to ensure accurate 3D models of whole machine in Teamcenter
  • Lead the machine level audits (layout, interface, interference, serviceability, visibility, safety etc.) with 3D models, drive the design freeze to meet project timeline requirement
  • Lead machine level drawings development (Tech specs, dimensions, lubrications, painting requirements, test instructions, decals, etc.)
  • Work with DCR on drawing release plan and progress tracking
  • Support tech lead to develop DV build plan and lead the engineering support for DV build in NPI workshop
  • Lead the DV build issues documentation and drive the engineering build issue resolution
  • Maintain production machine 3D model with system designer during design update for QA and/or CPI projects
  • Manages engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, products, or services
  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders
  • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization
  • Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality
  • Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget
