Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of related work experience. Frequent local business travel (20-30%) in Utah, with potential travel to Idaho and Wyoming, and occasional travel to conferences is required. Familiarity with HVAC and/or lighting is preferred, as is experience in sales, HVAC, or lighting at a dealer/distributor or contractor level. Strong business acumen, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and professionally interact with clients. Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Energy Efficiency Trade Ally Manager will support the development and maintenance of relationships with lighting dealers, HVAC distributors, and manufacturers. They will travel to trade ally locations to drive program performance, build rapport, and provide support. This role involves serving as a liaison between program leads and the Outreach and Trade Ally Team, tracking market activity, and contributing to outreach plans for new and existing programs. The manager will analyze participation statistics and market data to predict sales potential and monitor trends. They will also develop trade ally relationships, create best practice documentation, and support distributors and contractors with program training, events, and rebate claims. Participation in program meetings and planning sessions is also expected.
