Requirements

Currently studying towards a Degree in an Engineering, Maths, Physics or Computing discipline

Responsibilities

Work on real-world engineering projects in the Electronic Engineering department, assigned to an actual missile project
Gain exposure to the Electronic Engineering product lifecycle, various electronics designs, department teams, and projects
Spend the first part of the placement embedded in the Missile Design team, working on prime Missile Design
Spend the second part of the placement with the Test Systems team, focusing on designing test solutions to test and prove the prime design
Engage in complex circuit design (Analogue, Digital, FPGA etc.) for computers, safety-related products, datalinks, ground/firing equipment etc
Apply analogue and digital circuit test techniques and circuit design
Use microwave/RF test measurement techniques and design
Perform analysis and characterisation techniques
Contribute to test system design and testability of a design
Spend time in the lab and office, gaining exposure to laboratory work, PCB Layout, Circuit Design & Simulations (using tools such as LTSpice & Zuken), test procedures, and task package management
Work with highly experienced engineers from a range of fields to develop technically and professionally
