Responsibilities

  • Oversees and coordinates electrical projects from inception to completion
  • Plans, budgets, schedules, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Works closely with the VP of Service, Sales Team, and Estimator for project implementation
  • Supervises Electrical Project Coordinators/Engineers, Electrical Project Foremen, Lead Electrician, and work crews
  • Develops project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Defines project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Coordinates with engineers, electricians, and subcontractors
  • Monitors project progress and adjusts schedules as necessary
  • Coordinates with other trades’ Project Managers to ensure optimal interface of activities
  • Optimizes resources (manpower, equipment, and materials)
  • Leads and motivates staff
  • Commands respect of foremen, skilled labor, and disciplines workforce
  • Develops excellent working relationships with all department personnel and client management
  • Prepares reports for the executive team, including margin forecasting, completion costs, risk mitigation strategies, and relevant information
  • Reviews electrical designs, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Ensures compliance with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Conducts quality control checks and testing
  • Attends scheduled job progress meetings
  • Interprets specifications and discusses deviations to ensure full compliance
