Field Service Maintenance Technician

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with technical certifications or an Associate’s Degree. They must have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles, good written and verbal communication skills, and computer literacy for work orders and reporting. Applicants should also be able to obtain a forklift license and furnish tools suitable for heavy equipment repair, while maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
The Electric Forklift Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing complex repairs on material handling equipment in both the shop and field, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules. They will complete work orders in a timely manner, maintain open communication with the service manager, and possess experience with various forklift brands including Curtis Controllers, Narrow Aisle trucks, and warehouse products. Additionally, they will be expected to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment visibly and audibly, work safely in all weather conditions, and lift and handle heavy loads up to 55 lbs.
