Job Title: ELA Content Writer

Position Overview

Kiddom is seeking an ELA Content Writer to edit and design digital curriculum products and supplemental resources within the Kiddom platform. The ideal candidate will ensure that teacher and student-facing content is optimized for our digital platform, aligning with K-12 ELA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manually author/edit interactive question types using the Kiddom platform.
  • Author/edit supplemental resources aligned to existing curriculum.
  • Review content and provide Quality Assurance feedback.
  • Analyze and create content to align to state and national ELA standards.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders regarding adjustments and progress.
  • Continuously monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve when situations do not align with usual processes.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of K-12 ELA classroom teaching experience.
  • 2+ years of instructional design experience.
  • Strong empathy for educators.
  • Passion for improving education equitably.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $31 - $34 per hour.
    • Note: Hourly compensation range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role-related ability during the interview process.
