Khan Academy is seeking an experienced Content Associate to create high-quality SAT practice test explanations for their platform. This role focuses on developing clear, engaging, and informative explanations for Official SAT® Prep Practice Tests, aiming to improve student performance by enhancing their understanding of tested concepts. The Content Associate will join a global content team, contributing to Khan Academy's mission of providing free, accessible educational resources.

Requirements

• Fluency with TeX (LaTeX, MathJax, etc.)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in content creation for educational materials (writing or content development).
• Minimum 2 years of experience tutoring or teaching SAT preparation.
• Strong understanding of SAT content and test-taking strategies.
• Ability to break down complex concepts into clear, concise explanations.
• Experience with educational technology platforms or content management systems, or willingness to learn new tools.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of others, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors.
• A passion for education and helping students succeed on their SAT exams.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed, student-friendly explanations for SAT practice test questions, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Draft new SAT-aligned practice questions to expand item banks.
• Develop, revise, and expand articles that support explanations and strengthen student understanding and achievement.
• Collaborate with the content team and other departments to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Use data and user feedback to continuously improve the quality of the test prep experience and related content.
• Track the usage and performance of content to improve engagement.
• Drive the expansion of the practice test bank.
