Requirements
Candidates must be a current US Foods employee and an active-duty service member eligible to participate in a DoD SkillBridge Internship, within the last 12 months of their active-duty contract, and possess experience in transportation operations.
Responsibilities
The Transportation Manager will lead with a safety mindset, ensuring the safety of associates, customers, and the public, championing safety procedures and training, overseeing and developing drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training, creating a culture of upward communication and associate engagement, directing and supervising the work of drivers and clerical associates, building high-performing teams, monitoring production goals, troubleshooting delivery problems, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, identifying and stopping waste, conducting Safety and Driver Meetings, overseeing maintenance of driver qualification files, and investigating accidents.
