Responsibilities

  • Covering pharmacist scheduling gaps as directed by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC)
  • Overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts
  • Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
  • Following and directing the pharmacy team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails
  • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
  • Coaching the pharmacy team to demonstrate compassionate care and proactively resolving insurance and/or medication issues
  • Offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy
  • Supporting the effective management of pharmacy inventory
  • Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
  • Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services)
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
