Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the relevant state. They should have at least two years of experience as a retail pharmacist, with demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to travel within the district.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, supporting pharmacy teams and operations. They will oversee pharmacy management, provide oversight, and ensure the safe and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions. This includes following pharmacy workflow procedures, utilizing safety guardrails, assuming Pharmacy Manager duties during bench shifts, contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and care, offering and delivering immunizations, and supporting effective inventory management.
