The District Development Representative will drive business growth by identifying market expansion opportunities, targeting new customers within a specific market, and executing market development aspects of the commercial plans, in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Teams. The position will build relationships with key potential customers, educate them on the product's benefits, and drive adoption and utilization to achieve or exceed revenue targets (of new products) within a designated district.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a credible and trusted market subject matter expert, representing the interests of both TMC and its customers.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Partner with Sales/Sales Leadership to develop target market development and acceleration strategies aligned with business goals to expand existing customer base and drive new surgeon acquisition with new and existing products.
  • Partner with individual Sales Representatives across the team’s district on effective selling strategies for new products.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration from beginning to end with the Sales Representatives supported, ensuring clear lines of responsibilities between the teams.
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to support launch plans for new products.
  • Utilize product messaging and positioning to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
  • Collaborate with Medical Education to support the execution of educational programs, including clinical training, webinars, and conferences to promote product adoption.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including physicians, surgeons, hospital administrators, and distributors.
  • Identify, create, and foster new customer leads and relationships to generate interest and accelerate growth in new products offered.
  • Conduct surgeon visits to understand their needs, address concerns, and work to resolve concerns in collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Identify and develop sales leads to generate new business opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales Training to provide sales teams with in-depth product knowledge and clinical data to effectively present the product.
  • Develop sales tools and materials to support customer interactions and presentations.
  • Maintain strong communications and feedback loops to District Sales Manager (DSM) as well as Regional Vice President (RVP), including: activities, partnership, challenges, achievements, market trends, competitor insights, etc.
  • Establish and measure performance metrics for market uptake and to ensure long-term customer retention.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on different ways of working, structure, etc. for this role.
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical product knowledge with experience in commercialization and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Experienced negotiation skills with the ability to influence.
