Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and must be licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the relevant state. A strong understanding of pharmacy law, regulations, and clinical practices is essential, along with the ability to travel within the district and work flexible hours.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, providing oversight and support to pharmacy teams under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader. This includes ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assuming Pharmacy Manager duties during bench shifts, contributing to positive patient experiences through compassionate care, and proactively addressing insurance and medication issues. Additionally, the DSP will support inventory management, offer and deliver immunizations, and coach the pharmacy team in these practices.
