Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and must be currently licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the state where the position is located. A strong understanding of pharmacy law and regulations is required, along with experience in medication dispensing and patient counseling.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, providing support to pharmacy teams. They will oversee pharmacy operations, serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, and ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures. The DSP will contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy and care, deliver immunizations, and support inventory management, while also coaching the pharmacy team to provide compassionate care and resolve insurance/medication issues.
