Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field and 5+ years experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution project management
  • OR Advanced Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field and minimum of 3+ years experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution project management
  • Prior experience in medical device or similar industry (nice to have)
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and their impact on broader organizational goals (nice to have)
  • Management Skills: Financial and Material Resource Management, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Project and Program Management, Personnel Resource Planning, Collaboration and Productivity Tools, Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement (nice to have)
  • Functional Skills: Transportation and Distribution Technologies, Scientific Computing and Data Interpretation, Proficiency in Power BI and other tools, System Thinking, understanding of ERP, WMS and TMS systems, Lean Logistics and Continuous Improvement, Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and tactical projects in distribution and transportation to support business goals
  • Prioritize logistics schedules based on customer demand, carrier availability, and inventory levels
  • Develop and manage budgets for transportation and distribution initiatives; recommend cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods
  • Select and develop logistics personnel to support operational excellence
  • Create and manage project timelines, resource plans, and performance metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, process optimization, and technology adoption
  • Manage mature logistics programs with defined delivery methodologies
  • Lead matrixed teams and vendors across transportation and distribution functions
  • Accountable for program performance, customer satisfaction, and operational outcomes
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues and align on execution plans
