Requirements

  • Experience managing P&L responsibility for departments within a distribution center
  • Knowledge of operational execution, including timely, secure, accurate deliveries and optimum deployment of resources within expense/profit targets
  • Ability to partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, hiring centers, and external resources for staffing, recruiting (e.g., job fairs, advertising, temp agencies, cross-training), retention, and minimizing overtime
  • Strong relationship-building skills with field store partners, corporate partners, asset protection, and transportation teams
  • Expertise in achieving DC productivity, key performance, and quality metrics through continuous improvement and supply chain partnerships
  • Compliance knowledge with government regulations (e.g., DEA, OSHA, employment, wage & hour, EEO/AA)
  • Leadership in colleague experience, including floor presence, communication channels, engagement strategies, survey action items, succession planning, talent management, training, and inclusive culture
  • Ability to foster continuous improvement mindset for operational processes, employee experience metrics (e.g., engagement scores, retention, turnover, overtime), and set improvement targets

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall performance of assigned distribution center building(s) in conjunction with the Director
  • Support strategy for first-class employee experience focusing on talent development, engagement, staffing, retention, learning, and training
  • Oversee facility strategy for operational activities to achieve profit/expense goals, superior service, compliance, productivity, safety, and quality
  • Hold P&L responsibility for assigned departments within the DC
  • Ensure timely, secure, accurate deliveries through optimum courier/delivery resource deployment within expense/profit targets
  • Partner with HR to achieve staffing targets via creative recruiting and minimize overtime
  • Build and maintain relationships with field store partners, corporate partners, asset protection, and transportation to resolve issues
  • Achieve DC productivity, key performance, and quality metrics through partnerships and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and statutes (e.g., DEA, OSHA, employment, wage & hour, EEO/AA)
  • Maintain floor presence, engage with colleagues and leaders for feedback, and validate critical action items
  • Establish strong communication channels across all levels with consistent follow-up
  • Partner with HRBP to drive colleague engagement strategy, leveraging survey data for action items and "always on" mindset
  • Collaborate with Director on succession planning, talent management, and best-in-class training
  • Hold team accountable for continuous improvement in processes, metrics, and employee experience (e.g., engagement, retention, turnover, overtime)
  • Drive an inclusive culture at all levels of the DC
