Responsibilities

Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Travel district to fill pharmacist shifts, oversee pharmacy, and serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching team, collaborating with healthcare team, and resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and guiding team on best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
Remain flexible for scheduling/business needs while contributing to safe, inclusive, engaging team dynamic
Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower team for holistic care
Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to support patient safety and controlled substances
