Responsibilities

  • Set and maintain Pharmacist schedules for stores in the district, including creation and maintenance of Pharmacist templates, appropriate scheduling of DSPs, pharmacist vacation coverage, maintenance of staffing contingency plans (e.g., active call-list for sick call or unplanned coverage), track pharmacist vacation balances, send regular reporting/reminders/requests to ensure vacation utilization, partner with Rx DL for review/approval of vacation requests, support scheduling for Pharmacists eligible for LOA & RA, utilize pharmacist base hours effectively, partner with Rx DL for review of HUB/HOB use, and escalate financial risks (e.g., Hours Under Base)
  • Track and submit pharmacist payroll weekly in accordance with the CVS Pharmacist Payroll Administrative Guide, including entering regular and non-work time (e.g., vacation, sick), shift or market-specific requirements (e.g., night rates, predictability pay), and review for quality assurance prior to submission
  • Seasonally manage vaccine clinic scheduling, including inputting clinics into the schedule three weeks in advance, checking the scheduling tool daily for additional requests, revising pharmacist schedules to cover clinics, preventing client escalations through proactive planning and priority balancing, and ensuring coverage of pharmacist holes in store schedules created by clinics
  • Serve as timekeeping administrator for market pharmacists
  • Support scheduling and staffing of outside immunization clinics, supporting client relationships and ensuring clinic teams are prepared
  • Partner with Rx DL to identify and close gaps with PIC/POA registrations for each pharmacy location with the state Board of Pharmacy
  • Escalate and/or follow up on issues impacting effective pharmacy operations (e.g., TempAlert excursions, Service Channel tickets, store supply ordering, exception reporting, audits)
  • Serve as delegate to execute base changes, track/monitor vacation requests, manage pay code balances, and support additional administrative activities related to compliant and effective functioning of market pharmacies
