Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • At least 8-10 years experience in merchandising, buying and/or product creation
  • Apparel, footwear and/or accessories merchandising or product experience
  • Management Experience (directly or indirectly)
  • Consumer Industry and Insights Competence
  • Strong Retail Acumen and Product Expertise
  • Ability to translate Insights and Retail Results into Actionable Strategies and Plans
  • Experience developing and implementing Product Strategy
  • Experience in multi-season Assortment Planning and Pricing
  • Cross functional Leadership and Partnership
  • Willing to travel 10-20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Architect future looking line plans, delivering optimized blueprints to serve the global marketplace
  • Build & deliver apparel seasonal line plans incorporating franchise & classification excellence, pricing and tiering, Global marketplace capacity, and financial health, grounded in the end-in-mind
  • Work across Sport to ensure incrementality across classifications while partnering with Women’s, Footwear and Accessory partners to enable head to toe connections and cross-gender cohesion
  • Guide the team to deliver against future priorities, taking the brand and consumer somewhere new
  • Coach team to think end-in-mind when building global perspectives on assortment strategies
  • Ensure assortment strategy is comprised of end-in-mind needs grounded in marketplace capacity and delivers channel level assortment frameworks ultimately fueling product concepts and strategic priorities
  • Align with other Sport merchandising leaders on x-consumer topics and strategies to ensure a cohesive marketplace
  • Inspire excellence through partnership and collaboration, managing and leading through change
  • Grow and develop talent within the Merchandising function, building future leaders
  • Work with global cross-functional team across product, planning and brand supporting the Sport
  • Partner closely with geo counterparts to implement strategies and represent marketplace nuance back upstream
