Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required); BA/BS degree preferred (experience may substitute)
  • 3-5 years’ sales management experience (required)
  • 5-10 years’ overall sales experience (required)
  • Proven track record of sales success in a complex software or technology environment (preferably SaaS)
  • Must have exceeded annual sales quota at least one time in the past
  • Ability to communicate and convey the value proposition of a complex software platform via phone, online demos, and in-person meetings
  • Experience utilizing an enterprise level CRM (preferably Salesforce.com) to monitor and manage daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities of the team
  • Success in a past leadership role, including ongoing development of individual team members through training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Creative thinker with ability to keep a large team of sales representatives motivated and passionate
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with high degree of responsiveness and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of travel and expense management industry highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive company revenue through end-to-end sales for SMB (small to medium businesses, 75-400 employees)
  • Seek opportunities to provide prospective clients with cloud-based travel and expense solutions
  • Use internal prospects and proactive sourcing strategies to build a strong pipeline
  • Focus on attracting small business leads
  • Follow a defined sales process and partner with key sales leaders
  • Strive to meet and exceed quarterly sales goals (monthly quota: $246,666; annual quota: $2,960,000)
  • Monitor and manage daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities of the team using CRM
  • Develop individual team members through training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Motivate and keep a large team of sales representatives passionate about their work
