Requirements

Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in government relations or federal government service in the executive or legislative branch. A deep understanding of the U.S. federal authorization and appropriations processes is required, along with the ability to build coalitions and maintain relationships with key Congressional and executive branch officials. Experience with policy and budget issues for both defense and civilian agencies is essential, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be self-starters with the ability to collaborate across functions, be willing to register as a federal lobbyist, and have the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

The Director of Public Affairs will lead Rescale's government relations efforts by creating and executing a comprehensive government relations and communications strategy. They will support the design and implementation of appropriations and authorization strategies in partnership with business line leadership. The role involves developing coordinated approaches to new business opportunities, engaging with key stakeholders, and communicating the company's value to various audiences. Responsibilities also include drafting congressional engagement materials, monitoring the policymaking process, and collaborating closely across functions at Rescale.
