Director - Platform Operations

The Director of Platform Operations is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of Verisign's production systems and infrastructure. This role involves leading a team to manage core platform services, enforce operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement in system performance, security, and incident management. Key duties include ensuring adherence to operational and security controls, overseeing the deployment and maintenance of on-premise hardware infrastructure, directing the platform operations team's activities, defining and tracking key operational metrics, monitoring system performance, and implementing optimizations. The Director will also maintain comprehensive documentation, develop and manage the platform operations budget, manage the on-call rotation, lead root cause analysis for critical incidents, deliver training to support teams, collaborate with development and architecture teams on operational practices, participate in technology leadership forums, and lead recruitment, development, and retention efforts for the team. Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement is also a core responsibility.
