Responsibilities

Oversee all operation functions of Airgas Nitrogen Services, providing strategic vision, guidance, and leadership to associates to grow the product line as market leader
Monitor district operations, maintenance, compliance, and operating cost performance
Maintain a manpower plan to ensure operational personnel availability for customer requirements and associate development
Lead and promote safety by enforcing safety policies and procedures
Lead, supervise, manage, motivate, and train the operations management team to achieve highest standards of safety, performance, and productivity
Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are in place to evaluate goal performance and provide progress reports
Resolve operational, personnel, and equipment resource planning and maintenance problems to minimize costs and delays
Monitor monthly profit and loss statements (P&Ls) and manage operating expenses (OPEX); identify and correct unfavorable trends and improve ratios
Guide team in developing, implementing, and revising standard operational practices
Ensure accurate collection and communication of job data for timely billing, coordinating with sales teams
Create and recommend annual strategic goals; develop operations and capital expenditure budget; coordinate capital expenditures post-approval
Collaborate with Safety Department on unsafe conditions or safety issues
Consult with Human Resources on personnel issues, ensuring timely documentation of disciplinary matters and performance deficiencies
Stay current with industry knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional associations
Maintain confidentiality of financial, production, sales, and marketing information
Uphold corporate image and philosophy in interactions with co-workers, customers, and vendors
Ensure compliance with all company policies, including Equal Employment Opportunity, workplace violence, drug-free workplace, and workers' compensation
