Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operation functions of Airgas Nitrogen Services, providing strategic vision, guidance, and leadership to associates to grow the product line as market leader
  • Monitor district operations, maintenance, compliance, and operating cost performance
  • Maintain a manpower plan to ensure operational personnel availability for customer requirements and associate development
  • Lead and promote safety by enforcing safety policies and procedures
  • Lead, supervise, manage, motivate, and train the operations management team to achieve highest standards of safety, performance, and productivity
  • Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are in place to evaluate goal performance and provide progress reports
  • Resolve operational, personnel, and equipment resource planning and maintenance problems to minimize costs and delays
  • Monitor monthly profit and loss statements (P&Ls) and manage operating expenses (OPEX); identify and correct unfavorable trends and improve ratios
  • Guide team in developing, implementing, and revising standard operational practices
  • Ensure accurate collection and communication of job data for timely billing, coordinating with sales teams
  • Create and recommend annual strategic goals; develop operations and capital expenditure budget; coordinate capital expenditures post-approval
  • Collaborate with Safety Department on unsafe conditions or safety issues
  • Consult with Human Resources on personnel issues, ensuring timely documentation of disciplinary matters and performance deficiencies
  • Stay current with industry knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional associations
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial, production, sales, and marketing information
  • Uphold corporate image and philosophy in interactions with co-workers, customers, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including Equal Employment Opportunity, workplace violence, drug-free workplace, and workers' compensation
