Responsibilities

  • Create omni-channel growth by planning profitable and locally relevant assortments, using a deep understanding of guest shopping behavior, assortment, and innovation
  • Lead with a strong grasp of the competitive landscape and develop guest-led strategies that translate into clear, actionable plans
  • Influence and negotiate with vendors to achieve results and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to business results and translate financial metrics and data into actionable strategies
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive category results while managing progress toward sales and margin goals
  • Build partnerships with vendors/growers, buyers, category managers, and roundtable partners to guide product development and ensure sourcing aligns with category growth
  • Lead a talented group of Buyers, Associate Buyers, and Senior Merchandise Specialists—guiding them to translate strategy into action, optimize sales and margin performance, and strengthen vendor partnerships
  • Collaborate closely with the Pricing and Promotion Center of Excellence, Planning, Site Merchandising, the Item Center of Excellence, and other expert partners to support promotional planning across channels
