Candidates should possess 6+ years of experience in Marketing, with a Director or Product Manager role preferred, and experience working with record companies, artist management, or talent agencies is required. Strong creative thinking abilities, a deep understanding of DSP trends and emerging streaming business models (Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud, YouTube), and proficiency with data analysis tools like Nielsen statistics (Soundscan, Mediabase) are essential. Social media savvy with experience on various platforms and an understanding of associated data is also needed.
The Director, Marketing will develop and execute marketing strategy for artists’ music and related products across the IGA roster, encompassing singles, EPs, albums, music videos, merchandise, and direct-to-consumer businesses. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders including A&R, Retail + Revenue, Product Development, Digital, TV & Film Licensing, and Artist Management to support priority projects and artists. This role involves guiding and executing artist branding, creative materials, and original content, proactively communicating goals and project analysis, and regularly interfacing with artists and management to ensure commercial release plan success. The Director will analyze streaming, sales, radio, and social data to adjust marketing strategies and implement innovative digital marketing approaches.
