Requirements

  • Subject matter mastery and current industry knowledge in industrial hygiene (e.g., Air Contaminants, Chemical Exposure, Physical Hazards like Noise and Radiation, Ergonomics, Biosafety)
  • Ability to partner with S-CoE colleagues, senior leadership, global/site teams, and operational departments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the global strategy for industrial hygiene, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and drive implementation of holistic, corporate-wide programs and plans for Industrial Hygiene (including Biosafety, Ergonomics, Radiation Safety, etc.), ensuring risk management, exposure control, compliance verification, and a culture of continual improvement
  • Ensure suitable systems, programs, and policies for identification, assessment, management, and control of exposure to hazardous chemical and biological materials, including scientifically-sound health hazard assessments
  • Maintain subject matter expertise and provide technical guidance to business units, manufacturing sites, research/development laboratories, and global project teams to ensure consistency and best practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, business units, sites, and functional teams, providing interpretation and expert advice on industrial hygiene issues to drive decision-making and performance
  • Collaborate with site EHS, Engineering, Facilities, and operations staff to design and implement controls for exposure reduction, containment, and operational efficiency; leverage industry partnerships for innovation and best practices
  • Define resources and competencies, develop and deliver training programs, build networks and communities
