  • Familiarity and working knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry
  • High learning agility – ability to understand and exploit new scientific concepts and methods across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to apply learnings to a portfolio of small molecule, oligonucleotide, and synthetic peptide modalities
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in designing and developing new synthetic routes for active pharmaceutical ingredients
  • Experience with modern technologies, including continuous processing, automated reaction screening, PAT, and modeling and simulation
  • Comfortable with scientific uncertainty and the ability to translate hypotheses into action
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams to evaluate and refine manufacturing routes and technologies
  • Encouragement of team member initiative
