Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects (technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, financial, administrative, etc.) of GE HealthCare projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and policies; ensure appropriate management of consultants and coordinate efforts of other EHS staff and site professionals
  • Establish and enhance Environmental programs site-wide that support GEHC initiatives; evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks, and develop corrective-action plans and budgets to address deficiencies compared to regulations and internal policy/protocol
  • Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site EHS manager; participate in EHS compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and service operations
  • Keep management apprised of progress and significant developments on key projects
  • Lead Facilities strategy and actions on the SLC campus (380 employees, 4 buildings); ensure GE and regulatory EHS, life safety, and building code compliance; drive customer service and work completion based on priorities (focus on manufacturing safety, throughput equipment, lean projects, PMs, improvements, and administrative moves)
  • Manage all building maintenance, janitorial, repair, renovations, demolitions, additions, and new construction in owned or leased buildings
  • Maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including 100% uptime for the data center
  • Develop P&E and expense budgets for the year and proposed projects, and gain financial approval; maintain facilities fleet and equipment (vehicles, fire protection, water, compressed air, grounds including snow removal and landscaping)
  • Maintain and generate procedures for preventative maintenance and work tasks
  • Plan, schedule, forecast, and balance department workload
  • Manage facilities projects for cost, schedule, safety, and quality
  • Manage and maintain company assets for audit review
  • Improve base costs including energy cost reductions
  • Manage and lead the required EHS Element programs
  • Ensure consistent operating procedures and policies for concerned facilities; report on maintenance accomplishments (safety corrective actions, PMs, repair work orders, improvement projects)
  • Serve as liaison for Indirect Sourcing for facility-related items and identify opportunities to reduce costs
  • Own the on-site security program
  • Lead a team of qualified trade craftsmen, designers, engineers, and other resources to drive regulatory and quality assurance, optimized services for people and asset protection, and business growth via world-class buildings and campus
  • Create, implement, and maintain the Surgery SLC campus and US field strategy on EHS; handle campus facilities maintenance and compliance for the Surgery SLC site
