Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in consulting, corporate strategy, banking or business management
  • Senior-level experience in Big 4, MBB or Boutique consulting firms and equivalent players is valued
  • Good knowledge of the payments industry
  • Strong consulting experience
  • Client-driven mindset, comfortable managing a project end-to-end
  • Ability to work closely with clients to influence their future performance
  • Curious about the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced payments team

Responsibilities

  • Act as the overall program head to deliver end-to-end consulting engagements for key issuing, acquiring, merchant & fintech clients
  • Interact and work with client teams to gather and manage project inputs, analyze data to form conclusions and recommendations
  • Develop and present compelling project reports and work with clients on executing recommendations
  • Lead initiatives covering payment strategy review and roadmap design, portfolio and product-market fit assessment, customer value proposition design and refresh, people and talent enablement, digital payments wallet assessment and launch, mobile banking app diagnostics and enhancement, and other growth initiatives
  • Improve customer engagement on client portfolios powered by Visa’s data, collaborating with data science teams on building data-driven solutions (e.g., AI model deployment)
  • Identify potential clients’ business pain-points and areas for strategy and process improvement, define project scope deliverables and revenue opportunity to sell-in client engagement projects and build new practice solutions
  • Contribute to the development of VCA’s consulting offerings and engagement delivery in Malaysia to help Visa clients protect and grow payments
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with client senior executives through impactful consulting engagements
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., product, marketing, risk, innovation) to execute projects leveraging Visa’s resources
  • Prepare client proposals and project plans, identifying dependencies, roles and responsibilities, scope and deliverables
  • Participate in delivering project engagements by preparing project materials including interview guides, data requirements, concepts, frameworks
  • Conduct industry research, drawing on Visa and partner resources as well as colleagues to identify global best practices and distill insights relevant to the client problem
  • Create compelling presentations to illustrate findings, ideas, recommendations within consulting engagements and more broadly
  • Support Thought Leadership projects on the future of payments to clients and partners
