Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience building and managing high-performing analytics teams
  • Expertise in analytic tool development, data visualization, and data engineering
  • Strong proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., report/infographic builder tools and current products)
  • Confidence to lead discussions, sell ideas, and drive acceptance of projects
  • Skilled communicator, able to translate complex analytics into terms understood by all business leaders
  • Strategic problem solver with strong business acumen
  • Experience in Business Analysis including project design
  • Self-starter able to direct, plan, and manage a team that delivers effectively with high self-confidence
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Ability to plan, budget, and strategize long-term business solutions based on limited resources

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and drive adoption of analytic tools and dashboards from concept to product delivery, providing insights for product portfolio and new product development teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Executive Business Partners by identifying and delivering analytics solutions that deliver business value and drive impact
  • Maintain a roadmap coordinating various business functions, other SBD analytics teams, and technical resources to support strategic objectives, annual targets, and goals
  • Work with IT partners and Analytics peers to provide input to the technical vision and strategy for a world-class data environment and platform supporting enterprise-wide Data Science and Analytics solutions
  • Lead team of data scientists and architects on proper modelling, data quality, governance, and documentation strategies
  • Maintain budget and strategic long-term plan, operate within it to achieve goals, acquire contractor support, and external data acquisition
  • Develop and grow a team of individual contributors and managers through regular career conversations and robust development plans
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics, AI, and data science
  • Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to understand business problems
  • Support and grow the application of data-driven decisions across Tools and Outdoor category and product management teams
