Requirements

Ability to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight to software development and engineering projects
Experience developing and implementing strategies, project standards, and performance metrics
Capability to work with supervisors and managers to ensure applications meet specifications and requirements
Leadership skills for teams across multiple functional areas
Experience developing and managing budgets
Knowledge of coding technologies, programming practices, and new techniques
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary

Responsibilities

Create and drive strategies aligned with the company's vision and business goals
Work with project personnel to define standards and frameworks for coding, programming, and application development across multiple platforms
Lead the software development and engineering team in developing new software and web applications, and support existing applications
Oversee implementation initiatives, software updates, and roll-out of new software releases
Work with supervisors and managers to ensure deliverables meet deadlines, specifications, and budgets; develop and implement performance metrics; review and report project progress to leadership
Prepare and manage budgets and financial targets
Continuously research new coding techniques and practices; implement beneficial techniques with the engineering team
Perform other duties as assigned
