Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or related fields (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics) with concentration in algorithms, computer architecture (not network architecture), programming methodologies and languages, data structures, logic and computation, advanced mathematics (e.g., calculus, discrete mathematics); IT/IS degrees considered if equivalent to CS major
4 years applicable experience with PhD, OR 6 years with Master’s degree, OR 8 years with Bachelor’s degree, OR 10 years with Associate degree
Relevant experience in computer/information systems design/development/analysis; engineering hardware/software; programming; computer/network security; vulnerability analysis; penetration testing; computer forensics; information assurance; systems engineering; network/systems administration; military training (e.g., 24-week JCAC counts as 6 months experience)
Solid understanding of how to gain access into target networks, identify credentials, and leverage CNO capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate/Advanced use of Agency tools
Knowledge of how to exploit network vulnerabilities (software & hardware)
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface across NSA
Ability to actively participate in leadership/IC exchanges
Expertise in network traffic and exploits
Ability to collect and analyze network traffic
Strong network understanding of Firewalls, VPNs, Routers, Switches, Proxy configs, Obfuscation Networks, IoTs, Anonymizers
Self-starter
Bonus: Background in telco architectures or experience with covert/virtual infrastructure setup/teardown

Responsibilities

Evaluate target opportunities using all source data to understand and map target networks, and assist in developing detailed exploitation and operations plans
Analyze SIGINT and cybersecurity data at multiple levels up and down the OSI network stack with solid understanding of logical/physical IP core infrastructure, communication devices, network connections, and traffic movements
Develop new tradecraft needed to perform analysis as technologies evolve
Work as part of a team with government, military, and contractor personnel to develop shared understandings of intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise
Apply curiosity and analytical talent to form hypotheses, critically assess/choose analysis techniques, query/merge/enrich/evaluate/pivot within data to attain and share insights
Distill, document, contextualize, and share findings—including new tradecraft—with teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers
