Candidates must have hands-on experience and a deep understanding of core AWS services, including Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS. Experience with AL2 operating systems is also required.
The DevOps Engineer II will design, implement, and manage a robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and ArgoCD, and managing routine system operations such as upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery. The role involves designing automation pipelines, creating documentation, managing observability platforms, scaling containerized applications with Kubernetes and AWS ECS, and hardening operating systems and cloud infrastructure with a secure-by-design approach. Additionally, the engineer will implement defense-in-depth security measures, ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, PCI DSS), manage database instances (RDS Aurora, RedShift, MongoDB), utilize Cloudflare, create machine images with Packer, apply GitOps principles, embrace shift-left practices, work with DevSecOps methodologies, leverage AIOps tools, develop automation scripts, manage Jenkins pipelines, and provide Git expertise.
