Requirements

Proficiency in Rust, OCaml, Haskell, or similar functional programming languages is required, along with a strong background in software engineering, ideally in a Bitcoin-related field, cryptography, or functional programming. Candidates should have experience writing and delivering developer-focused educational materials, excellent communication skills, familiarity with Bitcoin, blockchain protocols, and smart contract systems, and be comfortable engaging with technical communities. Prior experience with formal verification, type theory, or DSL design and active contribution to open-source projects are considered nice to have.

Responsibilities

The Developer Advocate will champion Simplicity and related research-driven technologies to the developer ecosystem by creating technical content such as tutorials, documentation, blog posts, videos, sample code, and reference applications. They will speak at conferences, meetups, and online events, engage with developers on forums and GitHub to answer questions and provide guidance, and work closely with the research team to translate complex ideas into accessible resources. This role also involves collecting feedback from the community to inform product and research directions and contributing to open-source projects, developer tooling, and demos that make using Simplicity easier.
