Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of full-time engineering experience in a large technology organization or fast-growing startup, along with 5+ years of Solidity familiarity and development experience. Experience working with blockchain technology and DeFi, building backend services with Node.js and Typescript, and maintaining high-volume production-quality applications using Solidity frameworks like Foundry and OpenZeppelin are required. A good understanding of state management, client-side systems design, GraphQL, SQL, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, version control, continuous integration, and the engineering/design principles behind distributed and scalable applications is also necessary. Familiarity with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments, along with a clear passion for both Software Engineering and Crypto, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with product managers to understand business needs and work with frontend and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including writing technical specifications, feature development, and testing. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining services that power onchain experiences, integrating third-party APIs and multiple blockchain networks, designing and engineering efficient and secure Solidity contracts, and implementing low-latency, high-availability scalable applications. The role also involves writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, creating optimized database schemas, and mentoring engineers. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to hiring efforts and take complete end-to-end ownership of tasks.
