Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 0–1 years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar (internships, trade school, or self-taught acceptable)
  • Foundational understanding of Mac hardware, macOS, and common productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • Strong customer service orientation (approachable, calm, patient)
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and know when to escalate
  • Excellent organization and multitasking in a busy environment
  • Clear communicator, verbal and written
  • Onsite presence in the Overland Park office Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (flexibility for up to 40 hours/week, accommodations for student schedules possible)
  • Occasional lifting of small equipment (monitors, PCs, peripherals)

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person end-user technical support (walk-ups, scheduled deskside, and remote)
  • Troubleshoot issues related to macOS devices, productivity applications, email/calendar, printing, conferencing tools, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain Mac laptops, monitors, docking stations, webcams, keyboards, headsets, etc
  • Support new hire onboarding, device provisioning, workstation setup, application access
  • Receive, triage, and resolve tickets in ServiceNow & Jira
  • Document troubleshooting steps and fixes for knowledge base use
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 teams following documented procedures
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking for loaners, replacements, hardware swaps
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN, IP address issues, etc.)
